Food: What We Do

Food Centre

For as long as Mission Community Services has existed, its food centre has actively served in feeding those who are hungry. Now four decades later the centre is creating for its clients pre-made hampers, bags of food containing soup, canned fruit, vegetables and tuna, pasta and pasta sauce as staples.
Hampers are available once monthly either on Monday or Wednesday
On Fridays once a month you can do a small shopping at no cost
registration is neccessary, Proof of Mission residency, proof of income, And care cards for your dependent children

Mission Food Access Network (MFAN) is working towards a healthy, sustainable food future for Mission.

Hope Central

"Hope Central Ministries is a not-for-profit, multi-denominational Christian society operating in Mission. We are a Christian ministry whose aim is to love unconditionally and gain credibility with one another through service." Free Breakfast served Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m.
Free dinner served Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.

Mission Youth House

A safe place for youth to go and connect to services, receive hot meals, showers, & laundry services.

St. Joseph's Food Bank

St. Joseph’s Food Bank is the official registered food bank for Mission, BC, is a member of Food Bank BC and registered as a service provider by Food Banks Canada. St. Joseph’s Food Bank is supported by community members, business and service organizations as well as the Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver and the District of Mission.

Through our Community Development, we have the potential to make a real and positive change in the community. This is one of our key areas of focus here at The Stone Soup Initiative, and a source of much success for our Non-Profit Organization.
